Terms of Service for GenGo

Welcome to GenGo. By accessing or using our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.
1. Description of Service
GenGo is a language learning application that provides Japanese language study tools, including speech synthesis using the VOICEVOX engine. The app is currently provided to you free of charge.
2. User Conduct & Prohibited Uses
By using the voice synthesis features within GenGo, you agree to comply with the VOICEVOX Terms of Use and the individual guidelines of each character's copyright holder. Specifically, you may not use the voices generated by the app for:
- Illegal Activities: Promoting or engaging in any criminal acts.
- Harassment: Attacking, defaming, or infringing upon the rights of others.
- Political or Religious Use: Using character voices for specific political or religious campaigning or proselytizing.
- Damage to Character Reputation: Any use that significantly degrades the public image of the characters provided by VOICEVOX or their respective owners.
3. Intellectual Property
- The App: The GenGo interface, design, and code are the property of the developer.
- Voice Synthesis: All voice synthesis technology is provided by VOICEVOX (Hiroshiba Kazuyuki).
- Characters: All character names, images, and voices are the property of their respective copyright holders (e.g., SSS LLC for Zundamon). Usage is granted under the "Derivative Work" guidelines provided by each owner.
4. Third-Party Licenses and Credits
GenGo incorporates third-party materials. Please refer to the "Credits" section within the app's settings for a full list of characters, voice engines, and their respective owners. Use of these materials is subject to their individual license agreements.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
GenGo is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.
- Accuracy: We do not guarantee the accuracy of translations, grammar explanations, or AI-generated speech.
- Voice Content: The developer of GenGo is not responsible for the specific content generated by users through the voice synthesis engine.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of GenGo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the app, including but not limited to errors in language learning or voice synthesis output.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
